St. Paul's Hospital Neuromodulation

Neuromodulation is an advanced medical therapy that helps manage chronic pain by altering the way nerves communicate with the brain. By delivering gentle electrical or chemical stimulation, it can reduce the sensation of pain and improve quality of life—especially for patients whose pain has not responded to traditional treatments.

At St. Paul’s, we are committed to advancing patient care, fostering education, and supporting research in this growing field. Our treatments are personalized and may include spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and other minimally invasive techniques.

As part of the Canadian Neuromodulation Society, we work to expand access to these therapies across Canada while promoting awareness among healthcare professionals, patients, and the public. Our branch also serves as a forum for collaboration between clinicians, scientists, allied health providers, and trainees dedicated to advancing neuromodulation.

Together, we aim to improve health outcomes and enhance the lives of patients living with chronic pain.
